Welcome to The Maryland Society of Professional Engineers
MDSPE gives engineers the tools and services they need to be better informed and better connected within their professional community. Membership in the Maryland Society of Professional Engineers is open to Professional Engineers and people who are on the track toward licensure as a Professional Engineer.

We are now accepting nominations for the 2012 MDSPE Awards. Please nominate someone who has done great work for our society. The awards and a brief description are below.
Engineer of the Year Award
Honors outstanding and lasting contributions of such magnitude and quality to both MDSPE and the advancement of the field at large as to merit public recognition and acclaim. This special award, honors member(s) whose leadership has made an impact on engineering in the state of Maryland.
Eligibility
Any licensed professional engineer (P.E. or E.I.), MDSPE member in good standing who has held a position on the board, as an officer, or on a committee is eligible for nomination.
Engineering Firm of the Year Award
This award was established to recognize Maryland Engineering firms for their exceptional technical contributions, their many years of service to the profession, and their contributions to MDSPE.
Eligibility
Engineering Firms with at least one staff person holding any grade of MDSPE membership (with the exception of Student members) are eligible for selection. Members must be in good standing for eligibility.
Young Engineer of the Year Award
This award recognizes young MDSPE members who have made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and their communities during the early years of their careers.
Eligibility
Any licensed professional engineer (P.E. or E.I.), MDSPE member in good standing who is 35 years of age or younger is eligible for nomination.
The deadline for award nominations is June 15, 2012.
